Campus Companion provides support services designed to offer students comfort and families peace of mind. Please read this disclaimer carefully, as it explains the nature and limitations of our services. By engaging Campus Companion, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Non-Medical Services

  • Campus Companion is not a medical provider, health care professional, or emergency service.

  • Our Compasses do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or care of any kind.

  • Any health concerns, emergencies, or medical conditions must be directed to licensed medical professionals and emergency services (911, hospitals, clinics, etc.).

2. No Caregiving or Babysitting

  • Campus Companion is not a babysitting, caregiving, or home health service.

  • We do not perform physical assistance, personal care, or transportation of students at any time.

  • Our role is limited to being a supportive, friendly presence during moments of need.

3. Scope of Services

  • Compasses may meet students at hospitals, urgent care facilities, campus offices, or other agreed-upon locations.

  • The sole purpose of our presence is to offer companionship, reassurance, and communication to families.

  • Updates provided by Compasses are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as medical records or professional assessments.

4. Limitation of Liability

  • Campus Companion is not responsible or liable for any incidents, injuries, outcomes, or decisions made while a student is at a hospital, urgent care, campus facility, or any other location where our services are requested.

  • Responsibility for all medical care, treatment decisions, and safety rests with the appropriate licensed professionals, facilities, and the student’s family.

5. Emergency Situations

  • In case of a medical or safety emergency, Campus Companion will immediately encourage and/or assist in contacting appropriate emergency services.

  • We cannot guarantee outcomes, treatment timelines, or facility actions.

6. Acknowledgment of Understanding

By using Campus Companion services, you acknowledge that:

  • Our role is limited to companionship and communication.

  • We do not assume responsibility for student health outcomes, medical decisions, or facility actions.

  • You agree to hold harmless Campus Companion, its Compasses, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the use of our services.
