What You’ll Do as a Compass
Guide students in times of need by showing up with professionalism, reassurance, and care.
Meet students on-site at urgent care, ER, or other approved locations (never transport them).
Conduct wellness check-ins and companion visits at designated locations like dorms or campus housing.
Provide updates to families, keeping parents informed and reassured until they can arrive.
Document visits and interactions in accordance with Campus Companion standards, respecting confidentiality (HIPAA releases may apply).
Qualifications
Age 21+ preferred (all responsible adults welcome to apply).
Reside near or have reliable access to a college campus.
Must have a smartphone with a data plan for communication and reporting.
Calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
Reliable, punctual, and able to respond on short notice.
Must pass a background check.
Experience in caregiving, education, counseling, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
Pay & Perks
Starting pay: $18–$22/hour, depending on assignment.
Independent 1099 role with flexible scheduling so you accept the assignments that work for you.

Training and orientation provided.
